East Coast Park and the Coast Near Meyer Blue

The sea is the theme of Meyer Blue, and the coastal park is its nearest open space. This guide covers East Coast Park, the park connectors along the shore, Katong Park, and the long-term plans for the coast.

East Coast Park from Meyer Blue

East Coast Park runs for kilometres along the south-eastern shore, with beaches, cycling and jogging tracks, barbecue pits, food centres and water-sports clubs. The developer’s brochure gives about eight minutes on foot from Meyer Blue to the park and about 18 minutes by bicycle to East Coast Lagoon.

Closer still, Katong Park is about 580 metres from the site. It holds the excavated remains of Fort Tanjong Katong, a nineteenth-century coastal fort, and is a quiet green at the western end of Meyer Road.

Long Island and the Coast off Meyer Blue

The developer’s brochure looks ahead to Long Island, the proposal to reclaim land off East Coast Park for coastal protection, a new reservoir and new recreation space. The Urban Redevelopment Authority described it on 30 March 2026 as more than 800 hectares, and announced on 30 June 2026 that preparatory works would begin from the end of 2026, with the main reclamation to follow technical studies expected to take several years. Plans may change as the studies proceed.

The View from Meyer Blue

Because the land between Meyer Road and the coast is largely low-rise, the upper floors of Meyer Blue look over landed homes and the park to the sea, as the developer’s renderings from the balconies show. The elevation chart helps compare storeys.
