Buying a home at Meyer Blue attracts Buyer’s Stamp Duty on the purchase price and, depending on who is buying, Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty as well. Seller’s Stamp Duty applies only to a resale within four years. The rates below are those published by IRAS as at 20 October 2026.
Buyer’s Stamp Duty on a Meyer Blue Home
Buyer’s Stamp Duty is worked out in six slices of the price. The first $180,000 bears 1%, the next $180,000 bears 2%, and the rate steps up slice by slice to 6% on any amount above $3,000,000; the duty is the total of the slices. These residential bands have been in force since 15 February 2023.
| Portion of the purchase price | Rate |
|---|---|
| First $180,000 | 1% |
| Next $180,000 | 2% |
| Next $640,000 | 3% |
| Next $500,000 | 4% |
| Next $1,500,000 | 5% |
| Amount above $3,000,000 | 6% |

A Worked BSD Example for Meyer Blue

|---|---|
| $180,000 at 1% | $1,800 |
| $180,000 at 2% | $3,600 |
| $640,000 at 3% | $19,200 |

The stamp duty calculator runs the same slices for any price and adds the ABSD for the buyer profile you pick. For a specific home, the Sales Concierge sends the current price list so the duty can be worked out exactly.
ABSD, where it applies, is one rate on the whole price. On the same illustrative $1,500,000, a Singapore Citizen buying a second home would pay $300,000 in ABSD, and a Permanent Resident buying a first home would pay $75,000.
Within 14 days of signing.
BSD and any ABSD are payable shortly after the sale and purchase agreement is signed.
Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty for Meyer Blue Buyers
ABSD comes on top of BSD. For individuals, the rate turns on residency status and the number of residential properties already owned on the date of purchase; foreigners and entities pay a single flat rate. The rates below took effect on 27 April 2023.
| Buyer profile | First property | Second property | Third and subsequent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Singapore Citizen | 0% | 20% | 30% |
| Singapore Permanent Resident | 5% | 30% | 35% |
| Foreigner | 60% | 60% | 60% |
| Entity | 65% | 65% | 65% |

A married couple buying together, at least one of them a Singapore Citizen and neither owning another residential property, may apply to IRAS for ABSD remission; a couple buying a second home may claim a refund if they sell the first within the period IRAS allows. Nationals of certain countries with free trade agreements with Singapore are treated as Singapore Citizens for ABSD, as listed by IRAS. Meyer Blue is a private condominium, so a foreign buyer needs no separate purchase approval.
Seller’s Stamp Duty and Meyer Blue

| More than 1 year, up to 2 years | 12% |
| More than 2 years, up to 3 years | 8% |

| More than 4 years | No SSD |

Because BSD and ABSD fall due within 14 days of the sale and purchase agreement, they belong at the front of the budget alongside the 5% booking fee. The progressive payment calculator puts them into the full schedule, and the payment scheme page lists the instalments.
